cast

Tonight, the stage was alive at Club Capri, where our Halloween Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre brought a full house of eager patrons together for an evening of suspense, laughter, and intrigue. After weeks of hard work, dedication, and camaraderie, our talented cast did a stellar job transporting the audience into the depths of a thrilling murder mystery that left everyone guessing until the very end. For Thorold Theatre, this night was a testament to the heart and commitment we all share in creating unforgettable live experiences.

From the moment the curtains rose, the stage chemistry was electric. Sal Farsullo, as our risk-taking and adventurous Max, kept the audience on their toes with his daring performance. Meredith Heaney’s Lois was flawless—a perfect blend of wit and vulnerability that drew everyone in, reminding us of her immense talent and dedication to her craft. Julie Johnston, taking on her debut role as Jean, brought precision and intensity, captivating the audience from start to finish with a performance that felt anything but a first-timer’s.

Barbie Hackett embodied Catherine with strength and a natural comedic flair, keeping everyone engaged with her powerful presence and impeccable timing. Jody Gravelle, as Lily, was the heart of the evening, guiding the story and lifting her fellow cast members with an inspiring performance. Matt Harbin’s Malcolm was a true standout—strong, steady, and so believable that his character felt like he’d stepped off the page. And Victor Elms, as the deliciously devious Henry, captured his role so convincingly that he had the audience loving to hate him by the end.

Together, these actors formed a cast that was more than just a group of performers—they were a unified ensemble, each one bringing a unique energy that complemented and enhanced the others. At the helm, our director, Dan Willis, crafted this production with an eye for detail and a deep respect for each actor’s individuality, helping bring out their best in every scene. His direction gave the story depth, humour, and suspense in just the right measure.

Our patrons were treated to a seamless blend of theatre and dinner, enjoying a night of thrills and fun with great food and great company. As a theatre community, the event was a resounding success, made even better by the excitement and feedback of those in attendance.

To all who joined us—thank you for making last night one to remember. If you were there, we’d love to hear your thoughts and favorite moments in the comments. For those who missed out, keep an eye out for our future events. Thorold Theatre is here to stay, and we look forward to sharing more memorable nights with you again soon!
